Tree Planting Programme 2010

Growing from Strength to Strength Thanks to You!

It's been another great year for Carbon Footprint's global tree planting programme which has seen over ten thousand plantings as a result of your contributions.

Worldwide tree planting

In the UK, a focus on planting in school sites is not only helping to improve the environment but is also, with a little help from Professor David Bellamy, beginning to educate the next generation about the importance of sustainability & biodiversity.

Planting in Kenya's Great Rift Valley and in Central America has bought social & economic benefits to these developing communities, who have recently experienced difficult times. We have so far planted and maintained a healthy 45 hectare area of the worst degraded part of the forest. Despite recent trying times, the trees have thrived and we have had no problem with natural calamities like fire or prolonged drought.

The reforestation project in Guatemala, involved workshops to help motivate people to reforest the area is working wonders in places where the people have never been interested in reforestation before.
