Multi Site Distribution Company

With current energy costs amounting to in excess of £1.6 million per annum and rising, this multi-site electronic equipment distribution company engaged us to perform detailed energy surveys and benchmarking for each of their four distribution sites within the South East.

Immediate savings exceeding 6% of current expenditure requiring little or no cost to implement were identified across the four sites.

Further opportunities for permanent energy waste reduction and efficiency improvement amounting to 11% of current energy expenditure were identified with an overall simple payback of just 21 months.

We are now working with the client to implement the range of savings identified.

Commercial Printing Company

This Cambridgeshire based printing company were delighted by the 23% savings we identified following their detailed site energy survey. The resultant proposal from Carbon Footprint for improved insulation within their offices, new lighting, de stratification fans, building management system and automated monitoring of gas and electricity supplies
amounted to a 22 month payback; however with 100% funding provided via a Carbon Trust Energy Efficiency loan the project was completely self financing.

Global Document Management Company

Recognising that energy costs formed a growing overhead cost, this global document solutions business appointed us to audit energy consumption at their facility within the UK.

The opportunity to reduce consumption by 16% through waste reduction and efficiency improvement measures yielded a payback of 20.5 months. Furthermore, analysis of energy supply tariffs and operational activity identified opportunities to align activities with off peak supply periods.

Selection of equipment eligible for Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) will
enable the client to reclaim 100% of the project costs against corporate profits. We are now working with the client to implement the range of savings identified.
